“The previous Future of Open Source surveys have provided valuable insights into the state of open source and trends for where it’s headed, including technology developments, areas of growth and investment and customer adoption. In 2011, we are pleased to be joined in our efforts by The 451 Group who will be instrumental in helping us glean valuable insights into the state of the OSS community. I firmly believe that due to the high quality and breadth of industry collaborators the survey we produce this year will deliver our most valuable insights to date.†~ Michael Skok, general partner, North Bridge Venture Partners
“We've seen dramatic changes in the drivers, challenges and advantages of open source software as it has evolved in the enterprise over the last several years, and these changes continue to impact both providers and consumers of open source. The Future of Open Source Survey and its respondents represent a critical tool in tracking these changes and their meaning for the market going forward.†~ Jay Lyman, senior analyst, enterprise software, The 451 Group.
