CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — APRIL 25, 2013 — North Bridge Venture Partners and Harvard Innovation Lab present the final workshop of this semester’s multi-part series, “Startup Secrets.” Join Senior Vice President, Amazon Web Services and Amazon Infrastructure Andrew Jassy along with veteran entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Michael Skok, for a deep dive in intrapreneurship and how to start your business in the cloud. The workshop will also feature local companies who serve their business from the cloud.
The Startup Secrets interactive workshops were created for entrepreneurs, CEOs, founders, and innovators as a way of sharing business tools that help future leaders achieve success in building their companies. This exciting half-day event includes:
• Views from local companies and how they have built their business in the cloud
• Observations regarding “intrapreneurship” and how Andrew Jassy built Amazon Web Services from zero to the de facto cloud platform leader
• Highlight Amazon as a model and platform of how to leverage and do things differently in the cloud
• Insights from Michael Skok on how to cloud hatch your business, its advantages and how to maximize success
• Networking opportunities with fellow entrepreneurs
“Perhaps the biggest disruption in both the startup and business environment over the course of the past decade has come as a result of the emergence of cloud computing,” said Michael Skok, general partner at North Bridge Venture Partners. “Today, anyone with access to an Internet connection and a credit card has access to world-class IT infrastructure. We are delighted to have Andrew Jassy join us to share his experience building Amazon Web Services into the de facto leader and how cloud services are driving a whole generation of new Internet companies. We look forward to seeing how future entrepreneurs will leverage this incredible technology.”
Admission to this event is free, but seating is limited. To request an invitation, please contact Maryann Tamucci at firstname.lastname@example.org.
